Why should I book a sports massage?
Sports massage has been shown to relieve muscular pain, improve range of movement, and may help to prevent future injuries. In addition, it can also provide a positive sense of wellbeing, relaxation and help to reduce stress levels. If you are struggling with aches and pains, sports massage can help to relieve these.
I’m not sporty or athletic, can I still book a sports massage?
Yes, absolutely! We have all experienced that familiar feeling after a long day where our shoulders, back or legs are tired and sore. We run a hot bath and try and ease our muscles but its not quite enough. Regardless of whether you are weight training in the gym, doing the gardening, sorting out the kids bedrooms or working long hours at a desk, regular sports massage can help to keep your body feeling great.
What happens at my first appointment?
When you arrive, I will meet you at your car and walk you to the cabin. There are no waiting rooms or busy gym receptions to deal with; the cabin is peaceful, private, warm and inviting. I will ask some questions to understand your reason for booking and then we will agree the best treatment plan for you.
Once you have given your consent to proceed, you will be given privacy to undress and get comfortable on the massage couch. Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing to your appointment. If you are coming for a leg treatment, shorts are ideal. For ladies, a bra that clips at the back is easier if you are having a back or shoulder massage.
During the massage, I will regularly check in to make sure the pressure is comfortable for you. Although this is a deep tissue massage, it should never be painful.
After your treatment and once dressed, we will go through some aftercare advice and book a repeat appointment if required.
How often should I book a sports massage?
This really depends on your reason for booking. Some clients just want a one-off massage to help with generalised aches and pains or to help with relaxation. They then book in again when they feel they need a repeat treatment. Others come more regularly to help keep them in tip top condition. Regular treatments are recommended for long standing problems because it is unlikely that a single treatment will resolve the issue.
How do I book an appointment?
I have an online booking system which allows you to browse availability and book your preferred date and time. Full payment is required on booking, however appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled and refunded in full, with a minimum of 24 hours notice.
Where are you located?
The cabin is located in Suton, near Wymondham. The full address will be emailed to you when you book your appointment, along with directions.
Do you have toilet facilities?
Unfortunately not. Please make sure that you are comfortable before you arrive.
